I am using Office 2007 and Outlook Express. I have been using Outlook for
years and loved having it print in color. I downloaded a new upgrade from
Microsoft and since then I have not been able to print my calendar in color.
What was the change and can you correct it?

I also have a problem printing the Outlook Calendar in color. My problem
appears to be printer-related. When I print to my HP Officejet 6310 color
printer, the calendar prints in gray shades. This did not happen either in
earlier Outlook versions or on my old Epson C-60 (not sure which was the
critical factor). The preview is in color, and if I print to a PDF file the
PDF file is in color and prints in color on the same printer.

I will also report this to HP.

Do you have gray shading enabled in outlook or in the printer's settings?

There are issues with HPs and colors in outlook, but in my experience with
my HP printer, printing to PDFs doesn't help. The pdf shows the color but it
still won't print to paper.

Printing in gray shades is defintely NOT checked (maybe I should try checking
it!!), and the PDF file (created with "PDF Creator" virtual printer) prints
OK. I got an incomprehensible answer from HP support; since you say you do
have problems with some HPs, I may try phoning them. I will also try other
print formats besides my usual one-page-per-month.

I can live with printing to a file once or twice a month but it's
frustrating.

I am updating this thread to current April 24, 2010.
I use a Lenovo x61 tablet computer, Outlook 2007, OS Windows XP SP3, Norton
antivirus, and a Canon MX7600 multifunction printer. I have been unable to
print a monthly calendar with any color anywhere on it, nither for categories
or even for the general background, and Calendar Printing Assistant does not
help. Print Preview shows the calendar in black and white with gray shading

If you print to a PDF, do they show in color? If so, does the PDF print in
color?
