I would love to be able to highlight the address in my
Contacts and print an envelope straight from there. It
seems logical to me,but if I want to do this I have to
copy the address, open Word, click new blank document,
Paste, highlight address, click Envelopes & Labels icon,
and then click print!!!!! So that is 7 actions to print an
address which I should be able to do from my Contacts with
1 click. Or is there a better way?

Gad. The most convoluted procedure Bill has dreamed up yet. And it still wakes
up Word. Maybe it could be made easier in a macro? I am going to try a view set
up just like an envelope.

You were expecting Outlook to include its own Word processing module so you
wouldn't have to invoke Word to create a document? The reason the Office
Suite exists is to permit integration of functions.

I don't want to create a document, I want to print an envelope. "Integrated," to
my way of thinking, implies "seamless." I will, of course, buckle and do it
Bill's way. It gets easier with experience. Yes, I expect Outlook to include its
own word processor. It has one right now, for email.
