Printing a *.prn file

When printing a website page, the printer dialog box
offers a "print to file" option (instead of print to
printer.)

This option does indeed print to a *.prn file, but I
cannot open an *.prn file in any word processor nor can I
print it by dragging it to the printer icon.

How can I open - and print a *.prn file?
