Printing a picture on mult. pages

Hi all. Is there a freeware app. that will allow me to print a picture to
multiple pages? What I want to do is use my scanner as a copy machine for
woodworking patterns. Sometimes you want to scale a pattern bigger than
what will fit on one sheet of paper. Any ideas? Thanks...
