Was your printhead destroyed by your using a non-oem ink? We would like
to know of your experience.
Please tell us which brand of non-oem ink you used and how you are sure
it was the destroyer of your printhead.
Thanks.

Ditto if your head was trashed while using OEM ink.

True experience:

Printhead failed (i860) after less than a couple of months. Paperfeed
failed as well. Replacement printer and printhead still working - 15
months later - with the same aftermarket ink!!!! And working better
than the original one ever did.

Conclusion: It wasn't the ink. It was a bum printhead/paper feed.

Conclusion II: The ink was never suspected.

Conclusion III: It wasn't the ink. It was a bum printer (repeated for
Measekite)

Conclusion IV: These things happen . . . get over it. Bought two more
Canon printers later - iP5000/iP4000. All working perfectly with
aftermarket inks (atlanticinkjet.com and hobbicolors.com).

I used Epson inks and that trashed my C62, the service agent 'clodded'
it in the bin - after 8 months. When the replacement started going
the same way I became wise and used non OEM ink... more ink went
down the drain than what went on paper.

After the Epson saga I got a ip5000 not one single clog to date, the
only duff prints was due to 'user error'.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Epson and their OEM ink. I
have Epson's and NEVER use their OEM ink and NEVER have any problems at all.
Canon makes fine printers. We use Canon printers but NEVER use their OEM
ink.
We use Hobbicolor ink and carts in our Canons and have NEVER had any
problems at all.
BTW, We've saved enough dollars over the years to purchase a small vehicle!
Life is GREAT!
Don't let the OEM ink boys screw you out of it!
