printers

I have purchased a Sharp AJ-1100 printer and I have had
problems with it responding to jobs that are sent to it
for printing, it appears in the box that says that there
is a print job, but it fails to act on the command and
print the job, most fustrating for my children as it is
on there computor for there school work, please help.

This isn't really a printer's newsgroup .... !

Try Sharp's website and the FAQ's.

Try un-installing the printer drivers then :

* if its a parallel port printer re-install them

* if its a USB printer then install the drivers FIRST and only when
toldto or when the software has finished installing, plug in the printer.
