Hello,

Is there a way to hide Printers from the Active Directory list?
We have two print servers setup but only wish one lot of printers to be
shown and the other one to be a backup and hence not be shown most of the
time.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Peter.

Sure, either don't "publish" them in the first place
(leave the check box for "publish in directory" clear etc.)
OR remove them by deleting the printer object from AD.

But that will only stop it from being published in AD and
have no effect or legacy (NetBIOS-based) BROWSING
in places like Network Neighborhood.

You will have to manually make them show -- there is
no automatic feature for adding/removing names for
backup purposes.
