I installed my first couple of Windows 2000 Professional computers today
and connected to all networked printers while logged in as Administrator. I
expected to be able to see the same printers while logged in as a regular
user. It is possible to use the Add Printer wizard to connect to the
printers while logged in as a regular user. It seems that there has to be a
way that you can automatically give everyone who logs into the computer
access to all printers without having to add them all for each individual
user.

Finn:

Printer connections to a shared printer are per-user resources and that is
why you don't see them when you added them as an administrator. I have seen
several companies use log-on scripts to automate this. They usually look at
the users name and/or workstation and look up the printers they should be
connected to in a database managed by the admin. Then the scripts add the
printer connection.
