I am on a Windows XP Home edition computer. I want to add
a printer connected to another computer in my network, so
I wont have to move files on disks to print. The printer
is on a Windows 2000 computer. When I try to Browse for
the printer, it can't find any. How can I add the printer?

On your windows 2000 machine, set your printer to allow
sharing. On your XP home machine, select the printers
and faxes folders, then view, then refresh and your
shared network printer should display in the printer and
faxes folder.

I don't know if it is a problem with your network or
not. The procedure I gave below is what we did to share
a printer on our network and it worked for us. Maybe
someone else can help further.

verify that you can access a folder shared on the Win2k machine. If you
can't, then this would be a network issue.
