I am facing a problem in my Window XP computers in all the computers the
shared printers goes off-line after some time. User has to restart the system
and printer are active again.

Please let me know what could be the issue in printer sharing. We have all
the original drivers installed, we have reconfigured printers but nothing
works.

Please help

Are the printers physically attached to the XP PCs... ? If so, how... by
USB, LPT or some other connection?

No The printer are shared through network one case one Hp laser jet connected
to USB port (HP 3650) on win 98 computer. One HP 6L connected on Win 2000
computer both shared. Installed through networked printer on Win XP computer.
For some time the printers work fine, after some time the printers are
inactive, tried net start spooler, IEEE 802.1x authentication protocol is
disabled. But no result. Users in organisation using XP are frustrated with
the OS.

Please help.

Thanks and regards

Windows 2000, like Windows XP has a limitation of 10 simultaneous
connections. How many PCs are trying to print to the printer on the 2000
PC?
