Hi,
Hopefully somebody can help with the problem we have:
We have a single site, single domain Active Directory set -up with two file
and print servers local to the each office.
We have created OU's for each office and a Printers child OU within each
one.
Problem is :
After creating and publishing printers on one of the servers we moved them
to Printers OU for that Office.
All is fine for varying amount of time and then they disappear from the
Printers OU and indeed from AD altogether. After republishing them again
they will appear back on the server (default location) and if we move them
again they will eventually disappear again.
This only happens for one office and all is ok for other one where we did
exactly the same thing.
As a background information :
Server that holds the problematic print queue is 2000 Server Service pack 4
and the other one that is ok is 2000 Server Service pack 3.
Permissions on the OU containing problematic Printers OU are different from
default in a way that full control has been delegated to the local IT guy
(although
printers have been created and published using same Domain Administrator
account)
Thanks
