Hi,
I have a Windows 2000 Member server used as a File and Print server.
I'd like to delegate the task of Installing (Drivers and queues) and
Managing the printers on this server to the help desk staff. I'm sure this is
a very common task but I have trouble finding a definitive answer to this
problem.
I'd like to avoid putting help desk staff in the DC Printer Operators since
from what I've read, gives them a lot of permissions on DCs they don't need
to manage printers on a member server. I'd also like to avoid granting help
desk users Administrator privileges on the server.
Contrary to my Windows 2003 member servers, there are no local Print
Operators group on my Windows 2000 member servers.
So, what are the mimimum permissions a user needs to install and manage
printers on a windows 2000 member server.
