Printers and Faxes Error - Unable to view Printers Installed

I am unable to view the installed printers on my computer using the
printers and faxes window or option. I can print from word to any of
this printers. I cant make changes in their properties or either add
new printers. It is very weird because when i click in the add
printers icon nothing happens. My OS is Windows XP Professional with
Service Pack 2. If someone can help i will be very pleased. Thank
you!!

You'll need to reinstall the printer drivers. Recommend you start from
scratch with installing the software first. DO NOT connect the printer
until told to do so.
