In the need for help with installing printing program
on a LEMARK-73. I was told that both USB slots was bad
or the computer itself might need an aligment, for when
I download the driver from the disk or on-line, at
a certain point the wizard pop-out telling me the
computer found new hardware. This cause me problem, for
at the end I get this other pop-out stating (We have
found a problem with your computer and your printer may
not work properly). Any advice will be well received

First of all the printer should NOT be connected to the PC when you're
installing the software... the software itself will tell you when to
connect. Therefore you shouldn't have anything popping up beforehand saying
new hardware has been detected.

Is the USB cable KNOWN to be good?

Are the USB ports KNOWN to be good?

AJ: IT SEEMS TO ME WE ARE IN A REAL FIX WITH THE LEXMARK
PRINTERS. IF YOU GO ON LINE AND DO ALL THEY SAY TO DO,
NOTHING SEEMS TO HELP. I PERSONALLY BOUGHT AND DELL A940
WHICH SEEMS TO BE DOING OK AT LEAST RIGHT NOW. I MADE
CALLS TO LEXMARK ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEY WOULD
POINT TO PROBLEMS IN MY COMPUTER OR MY USB CABLE. IT SURE
SEEMS ODD THAT THE SAME CABLE WORKS OK WITH MY DELL.
SORRY I CAN'T BE OF ANY REAL HELP.
