I have a HP printer
hp deskjet 630c with the disk i have try several way to
hook it up but window xp won't accept it what am i doing
wrong

I would make sure that the driver that you are using can
be used for Windows XP. It should tell you on the disk
which operating systems it will work on. If you're not
sure, go to HP's website and download the latest driver
for your printer. Make sure you download the version for
XP.
 
The printer is very old and the CD will NOT have the correct drivers
included.

Use the Add Printer Wizard to add the printer. XP has the drivers built in.
