Hope this is the right forum; couldn't find one just for printers.

I have an older HP DeskJet 812 Inkjet. Last month I put in new cartridge.
Last week I printed two pages. This week; nothing. Device manager says its
working, all the noises happen that should, but the page doesn't come out.
After awhile it will be ejected with garbage on one line and that's all.
Align just ejects a blank sheet. Clean print heads does nothing. I have
removed and inserted cartridges, removed and reloaded driver (Microsoft),
turned off, and rebooted. Paper jam is frequent causing all lights to blink
but soon it will eject the page I thought was jammed.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
 
Check the parallel cable. I got this before and it turned out the parallel
cable was bad.
 
But it only lasted a day and quit again. I bought a new cable but it just
isn't going to cooperate.
