The install wizard sees a Lexmark printer 4099 on PC, but
it a Compaq IJ 750. To install Compaq IJ 750 manually from
the CD the wizard does not list it. Any ideas how to fix
this problem?

The Compaq IJ750 is a supposedly a rebadged Lexmark 3200

So the question is does it work? You may have to go into "Update driver"
and point it to the CD that came with the printer.
 
If any of one here has found out how to install an compaq ij750 o
windows xp operating system, please post a reply. The windows 2
drivers and lexmark 3200 drivers don't work. There are no windows x
drivers on hp web site, and I have been getting an error say that prin
install can not complete...drivers not installed. I think I may have t
add stuff to my environmental variables, but I don't know what. Believ
me no matter what drivers I install, even if the printer is not plugge
in, I get the same error.

Um, this is a Windows 2000 hardware newsgroup. The Windows 2000 drivers
work with Windows 2000. If you're having problems with Windows XP would
it not make more sense to ask for help in a Windows XP newsgroup?
