I did a bit of research and determined the X3470 is probably a Lexmark
all in one inkjet printer. It might have been more helpful had you
mentioned the brand (Lexmark) and the type of printing technology (color
inkjet).
This could be a software, firmware, or more likely a consumable problem
(empty ink tanks, clogged head, something not making proper contact,
from the ink cartridge to the printer etc.)
Is it a brand new printer, or have you had it a while? When did the
problem start, or was it like that from the first setup?
Have you tried a nozzle print text to see if it shows if the nozzles are
firing correctly? If the head/cartridge is brand new, is it possible you
did not remove some type of protective layer or tape or other material
from the full head prior to installation?
When you say red, do you mean red, or instead a bright pink, which is
magenta. If it is red, that means both the magenta and yellow heads are
working. That would mean that the cyan and possibly black head or ink
are not working.
You might wish to try running a cleaning cycle to se if it can get the
other colors functional.
You might wish to try taking a soft lint-free rag saturated with some
isopropyl alcohol and gently rubbing the ink head and seeing it it
cleans off any residue that might be clogging the head.
