I am new to this group and desperately need some help.
I have a Canon S400SP (USB Virtual Printer Port) and use Windows XP. For
some unknown reason after years of no trouble, the printer will not print.
It goes through all the actions but nothing comes out.
All the cartridges are okay, I have tried disconnecting it from the
computer, removing the ports and reconnecting, removing and reconnecting the
printer head, logged onto numerous help lines including the Canon helpline,
but nothing seems to work.

I would be very grateful if SKS could give me some advice
Thanks
Ros

In so far as possible, check the paper feed path to be sure nothing is
jamming it. It could be paper bits or some small creature that picked an
inopportune time to journey through.

That aside, an actual printer failure is possible. The uinit might need
servicing or replacing. Costs being as they are, the latter is often the
economically sendible choice.

Your printer is is old, and probably has given its best.. look to replacing
it..

I am having a simular issue. Yesterday windows automatically up dated. Today
my HP Laserjet 1100 won't print. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the
printer from the disk and I got an error message saying " Has not passed
Windows Logo testing to verify it's compatibility with Windows XP". This is
the same printer connected to the computer sence I got it. Can you help me
fix this?

Thanks, Bronze

Check the verswion of the driver for the printer on HP's web site. If the
version y9ou have is the seme or mopre recent, install it anyway. If it is
older, download the more recent version and install it. If you get a similar
message, elect to install the driver anyway.
