I`ve got a bit of a problem here, can somebody please help?.....The other day
my printer stopped working, I assumed it was clapped out because the computer
wouldn`t recognize it any more.
So yesterday I went & bought another one, nothing fancy just a basic HP
allinone, anyway, this new one would not install, I did it all by the book &
it kept coming up "missing or out of date USB.ini",hmmm, so I looked all over
the net for some kind of help..nothing!!
Stuff it!! today I took it back & exchanged it, again for a basic all in
one,but this one`s an Olivetti.
I`ve spent all day with this thing & Ive had enough now, again, everything by
the book, it installs the Olivetti software then ask you click finish & plug
in the printer USB. Which once done the "found new hardware" box pops up, it
even has the name of the printer, but when you click on install software it
can`t find it, even pointing it to the cd containing the software it still
won`t find it.
What`s going on people? Is this a simple problem that everybody knows how to
fix except for technical donuts like myself? or is it more sinister?
