I seemed to have lost my printer wizard on XP. When I go to the control panel - Printer faxes - Add a printer I get the message "operation could not be completed" Do I have to re-install the XP system.

No..... at least not yet!

a) Ensure the Print Spooler is started. From the command prompt, type:

net start spooler
(and hit enter)

b) Should you have a Lexmark and get a 1068 error (Service or Dependency
failed), see steps 14 thru 16 at

You're welcome.... now don't run out of ink too quickly when printing all
those backed up documents!
