printer with windows 2000

Hi
I have a epson epl5000. it worked fine with ME, but i put a new hard drive
in and installed 2000. its the old parallel type.

When i add printer, it seems 2000 has the drivers, installs them but thats
it, i did it to lpt1??? if i print a test page nothing happens, its like it
cant communicate with the printer.

im stuck on this one, 2000 is new to me

Sounds like more of a problem with the parallel port. You might also check
with Epson to see if they have a driver for W2K.
Also be sure to update to SP4.

It worked the minutes before when i used ME prior to putting in the new hd,
i thought with 2000 showing it in the drivers it was fine, but will check
that way and uup got sp4
