Printer will print once but not twice?

I can print *once*
with my HP640c and win98 pc, but if I try to print again, nothing
happens. No error message appears, just nothing.
When I reboot, it will print, but again, only once.
Turning the printer off and on doesn't do anything.
Using same printer with XP machine no problems.
Any thoughts? - thanks.
 
Additionally did it use to work OK or has this been happening from the
start? That would be helpful to know.

Try uninstalling the printer and reinstall the software. Also look to see on
the HP website if there may be an updated driver for your machine.
