I have shared a laser printer on a small (4 PC's) network. The printer is
directly attached to one of the computers, and all machines are running
Windows 2000 Professional. I have added this printer on each of the other
computers on the network, but it is not available to these machines unless
they first access the host machine through "My Network Places" and log onto
it as administrator. Then they can print to it. I would like to simplify
this so the users can simply select this printer and print to it whenever
they want.

Could anyone please tell me what I must do to accomplish this?

Many thanks for any ideas,
Larry

If you can Browse to the shared printer from a PC wanting
to print to it, you should be able to then pick the shared
printer's Icon, right-click it and select OPEN. W2K should
then say I have to ....blah blah blah... something
first... just answer affirmative, and then you should be
able to print.

Sorry if that's what you meant when you said you 'Added',
but using the printer wizard and adding it isn't
necessary. just the above...
