How do I get a win 98 computer, that is on a network with
a winxp computer connected to a printer, to print on the
printer. I have enabled printer sharing on the win xp
computer but when I attempt to add a network printer via
the win 98 machine the printer does not show as present.
The other win xp machines have no trouble printing to the
printer.

First, make sure file sharing works completely. File sharing and
printer sharing use the same underlying mechanisms, but file
sharing is simpler and more likely to work. Then, try printer
sharing again.

If file sharing still does not work, contact your printer's
tech.support folks and ask if their drivers for that specific
printer will work on a cross-platform (W9x and XP) network;
some (e.g., Lexmark Z53) will not.
