I have a home network, with a desktop hardwired to the router and two desktops connected
wirelessly.
The printer (HP640C) , which is shared, is physically connected to the desktop. The
question is very simple : do I have to install the printer drivers in the two laptops or
is it enough to have them installed on the desktop ??
Thanks in advance.

In Windows XP, it didn't seem like you needed to do this. I just tried to do
it in Vista for the first time and it made me install the drivers for the
printer. So I'd say, on Vista at least, you need to.

The process for Vista is similar.
Add the network printer, Windows will find the drivers on the desktop unit and prompt to install or it will prompt to look elsewhere..follow the instructions.
