I have a win2000 server in application mode, I have a TS client that has a local epson receipt printer attached to it. My setup for that printer is as; the printer is installed on lpt1 on the local machine and shared as "receipt", the driver is installed on the TS and when the client connects to the TS, I have it shared as "receipt" in the terminal session. The pos application captures LPT1 via a batch file "net use lpt1 \\server\receipt" . All is well. Everything works as planned, except almost daily, in the TS session, the sharename for that printer changes - upon inspection, it will read something like "receiptA" or sometimes it takes the name from the driver "epson sp300..." I have 3 TS users who have this same problem, all are setup the same way, the hard ware differs slightly but all are receipt printers or barcode printers which need a hardcoded LPT port to print to. Please help!
