Printer settings not keeping

W2K SP4 Workstation.. HP 600 PLOTTER When I as the
administrator or if the user himself adjusts the settings
for the printer in the properties page, they don't
remain. Once we close out of properties they revert to
the original settings. How can I change these settings
permanently?

I think I would try two things.

1. Make sure the accounts have permission to manage the
printer.
2. Delete and reinstall the printer using the latest
plotter driver from HP's web site.

What permissions do you think that includes? Again, I as
the administrator can not get them to keep.
