I have a new computer which i am trying to "add a printer" to. The printer is
connected to another computer. Both computyers have xp home and the network
is through a router. file sharing is possible. When I try to add the printer
The window in the wizard advises to use Local printer option if there is no
server. How? If i use the connect to another computer option and try browsing
I can see the other printer but a message comes back that the "server" does
not have the right drivers. I have had this printer connected to other
computers in the network, all running xp home with no problem till now. The
printer is a HP All in one 1200 series. Any help thanks

Assuming that you have set the printer to be "shared" on the computer to
which it is physically attached, install the driver on the new computer
before you browse for the printer over the network. If you don't have
the CD, see
