Printer Sessions not disappearing

Windows 2000 TS... SP4

I'm having trouble with two specific printers not
deleting once their sessions are complete. One is a
Brother MFC which uses a default Brother Generic Printer
Driver as recommended by Brother. The second is a
Lexmark Z52. Each time the respective user logs on, a
new printer mapping is done for that session. Sometimes
they delete and most times they do not when the session
is done. Consequently, I have multiple identicle
printers listed with the connecting computer's name and
the session ID. This obviously gets confusing. On top
of all this, my spooler service has been consistently
hanging and freezing my TS for the past two months and
nothing I have tried is working. I've checked the drivers
being used and they are all Windows 2000 drivers
(not "NT4 or 2000").

I would really appreciate anybody's insight.

Thanks!

The problem with your print spooler stopping constantly could come from the
brother print processor. Change it under the advanced tab to the winprint
RAW setting. Also look in your services for the brother print service and
disable it.
