Yes, everybody has (and uses)a unique login name.
Furthermore they are members of only two groups: Domain
Users, and a group specific to their location.
Their data is separate and they have access only to their
data. They also have no need whatsoever to print from a
printer at their location to a printer at another
location (That right is reserved only for
Administrators). The only common denominator is
membership to the Domain Users group which is NOT on the
ACL for ANY printer, yet they can still print to any
printer....
How are they printing to other people's printers? I mean,
if they open Word and go to print the document, can they
view all the printers connected to the terminal server and
just pick whichever one they want to?
Ah. Well there is your problem. I'm willing to believe
that Quickbooks is somehow accessing the printers in a way
that elevates the user's privileges (somehow) and allows
them to access any and all of them.
If you specifically deny a user access to a printer, does
the same behavior occur?
