Well, give us some clues as to what they are doing... or not doing?
1. Are they connected piggyback fashion to your PC? XP does not support
this configuration and you need to change one of them to USB.
2. Did you download the appropriate XP drivers from their manufacturers'
websites... and then install them, before connecting the printer and scanner
to the PC?
3. What happens when you try to print a test page?
4. What are the makes and models of the devices in question?
5. Are you logged on as an Administrator when you tried to install the
devices?
