I have Brother Multi Function printer, MFC-665CW.
Works a treat and they are Vista aware on the Brother site, so if you don't
need the MFC type printer there will be others

my Lexmark all in one X1270 (Dirt cheap model) works, installed on Vista,
and across my network.
Did you look for updated drivers?

I got new Vista system with HP Photosmart C3180. Needed to download updated
drivers from net. Dial up takes ages or you can be sent them on disc.
