My Canon iI950 does a great job when using the various canon papers.
However, I wish to use some Ilford paper and the paperwork that comes with
the paper does not indicate what "profile" I should be using. Does anyone
know where I can get paper and printer profiles for the I950 (both the canon
and the Ilford if possible).

Regards

If it is Ilford Smooth Gloss Paper, the recommended settings are -15 Yellow
& +5 Intensity.

I have (from my ilford sheet)manual color at yellow= -15, intesity= +5,
highest paper setting is under "paper pro."
Hope this helps,
Joe

How do you get colour profiles to work on Canon printers?

I'm using an S900 on Win2K, but when I set the colour adjustment to
Manual and adjust the sliders; it has no effect whatsover on the
output even when the sliders are set either way to their limits.

While the changes appear in the Profile data window, the colour output
doesn't change. I've tried a multitude of settings without discovering
a way to change the output.

Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?

If I remember right (and it has been a little while) with the Canon driver,
you have to click "apply" for the changes to actually take effect;
otherwise, it just sits there and does nothing different. I had the same
problem when changing profiles...

Later,
Dave

Thanks, will try such
