I have an Epsom Stylus Photo 1290 printer which doesnt like running on my new
computer. At the moment it is printing nothing at all even though the
printing jobs are in the printer. I was hoping that making it believe it was
running on XP would help but I have forgotten how to do it. Can anyone out
there help

The first line of attack...
Contact Epson or visit their WEB site to obtain drivers for Vista.

I don't own such a printer. However, see:

http://esupport.epson-europe.com/Pr...FpKjqkM0BU002FoMU002FI3yrl9dGo2MU003D&tc=6#19

(The link may wrap. I got to it off the Epson UK web site. The Stylus Color
1290 isn't listed in the US, which is where I am.) It appears that the
"Epson PIF Tool" that is available for download there includes Vista drivers
that may serve you better than the ones included by Microsoft.

Return address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.

If there are no Vista drivers, try installing the XP driver by checking the
XPCompatibility box in the Properties--Compatibility tab of the Install.exe
program. Then run the install.exe As Admin. After the install.exe has run,
if there are any child .exe programs, follow the above directions.
