printer problem

i am trying to add a new printer but keep getting the message handle not
valid can anyone please tell me what to do.

Which make and model printer are you trying to install?

Are you installing the software BEFORE you connect the printer to the PC?

i am trying to install the lexmark all in one,i have connected printer then
put in software but am getting no preview and it says invalid handle can not
print when i try to print picture

it says new hardware found but when i go on pics to print it wont let me

As Cari has pointed out you are installing the printer and software in the
wrong order.
Uninstall the printer, unplug the USB cable from the printer, reboot the PC.
Install the printer software with the printer cable disconnected.
When the installer tells you to, then connect the cable.

Do a COMPLETE uninstall and reinstall.

Since it's a Lexmark, you'll probably get a 1068 error, Service or

i didnt install it the wrong way round but i did uninstall and reinstall and
it now works thank you for your help it was appreciated.
