Printer Problem

I don't see my e-mail of earlier this morning posted, so I
will send this back-up. I use Windows 2000 and a Lexmark
Z13 printer. Until last week both work together fine. Last
week I downloaded and activated Anonymizer Window Wash.
Perhaps a coincidence, but among other things that it
seemed to affect was the printer. I have not been able to
print anything. Yesterday, with the help of a local
computer technician, I was able to get it to respond to
the command to print an alignment test page which it did.
Beyond that however it will not respond to the next
command to print a test page, nor respond to any other
commands. There are three documents in queque waiting to
be printed and the printer shows "ready." Your help will
be greatly appreciated. Mel Grossman <[email protected]>

Sounds like your Spooler needs to be reset.

1) Go to your Administrative Tools folder, then Services.
2) Right-click Print Spooler, and choose Stop
3) Delete all the files in the printer queue folder:
C:\%windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ (usually)
4) Right-click and Start the Printer Spooler.

Try that. Good luck!
