printer prints unfinished pages

Hi

I have a hp 3820 printer running on a windows me system with 512 mb
ram with an m athlon xp200cpu. heprint uses parralel cable.

intermtantly the printer will print out half done pages. this is
particulary annoying when printing out photographs on photo paper.

Any solutions welcome

Check that you have enough disk space on the drive with the printer
spool file. Look under the printer setup to see which directory this
is. Either move it to another drive or clear out some space.
 
And if that fails try a USB connection.

Can't move it, he said WinME. Definitely first thing to suspect is
insufficient spool space. How much free space is on C:? Are you letting
Windows manage virtual memory? Do you have other partitions with space
available?

If there is another partition (drive letter) available with space you can
move the swap file (virtual memory) there manually. First, defrag the dive
you intend to move it to. Then right click on My Computer, choose
Properties, click on the Performance tab, then Virtual Memory. Choose to
specify your own settings. choose the other disk and set 1024 min and max
sizes. if you have the space, if not 512. Choose OK twice. After this
reboot and defrag C: This will give the spooler access to all available
space on C:
