I HAVE AN APOLLO P2200 PRINTER BY HEWLETT PACKARD AND
INSTEAD OF PRINTING WHAT I SENT TO THE PRINTER, THE
PRINTER IS PRINTING ALL SORTS OF CHARACTERS SUCH AS
UNUSUAL SIGNS, SYMBOLS, SMILEY FACES, ETC. IT PRINTS A
LITTLE ON ONE PAGE, THEN GOES TO THE NEXT PAGE AND PRINTS
A LITTLE THERE AND IT GOES ON AND ON. I DONT UNDERSTAND
WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE. IT WONT PRINT THE MATERIAL I
SENT TO THE PRINTER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROMPT REPLY.

Please do not post with ALL CAPITOLS. It is hard to read.

I believe this printer connects to the computer using a parallel port. Try
changing the computer's BIOS setting for the port the printer uses to SPP or
bi-directional parallel port or words to that effect but _not_ ECP, EPP or
ECP&EPP. This is done by entering the BIOS setup as the computer starts.
Usually one presses the Delete key at the appropriate moment.

After making the change, save settings and exit. Start Windows.

Let us know.
