Hi all,

Is it possible to set the printer preferences via a gpo?
I've add the printers in the ads a so i can add them via
the directory on the clients pc's. Now i have to set
printer preference on each client pc and i don't want to
do that. So, i want to set the printer on the printserver
with all the settings i like and then add them on the
users pc via ADS. This i get working, but then i have to
set the preferences again, although i set it on the
printserver.

thanks in advance

Why don't you set the printer defaults on the print server? Right click the
printer, properties, select the advanced tab, click on the printing defaults
button, set whatever options you want. If you have a duplexing unit in your
printers, make sure the duplex unit says installed on the device settings
tab. No GPO needed.

Yes, that's what i did, but those settings don't appear
when the printer is added on the client pc. I've to set
the preferences manually on each client pc and i thought
that it (the print preferences) was added when i add the
printer via ADS or via a vbs script that automaticly add
the printer during logon.
