printer ports are not visable on server.

On my Win 2K server, if you go in to server properties, ports all my ports
are not visable. If you go in to a printer and look at the port none are
visable also. (They can be seen from a Windows XP machine if you look at
printer ports through a printer set up on the XP machine).

Is the print spooler service started?
Event logs give you any clues?
What SP on W2k?
What kind of ports?
Where exactly are the printers installed/shared from? (not clear how your XP
machine fits into this or how the printers are 'set up' therein).
