Printer popup notification

Is anyone aware of forcing a setting to show a message when the printer is
out of paper, jammed, etc.

Please advise what type of printer you are currently using. The settings is
in the printer and not in Microsoft Word.

Thanks..it is a HP 8150, 1200 and 4100.
I was on the hp website and did not find anything.

If you're only using windows drivers it will not help you. Go to the hp website
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html
and search for drivers on the model numbers you have and operating system
you have. It will list drivers along with other downloads such as programs
for status (printer status, ink, paper )
