Printer not working since installing Windows XP

Since I had Windows XP installed my printer does not
work. I have an Epson Stylus Color 777. When I have the
wizard install it, it comes up as Epson Stylus Color 777
ESC/P2. I cannot find this version of the printer listed
anywhere. I have deleted all printer and reinstalled
them many times. It is always the same results.
Whenever I do the auto troubleshoot it tells me I need to
install a different driver, but there is no driver for
this so called printer.

Also, I am no longer able to find out my levels of ink
for the printer - this option does not show anywhere.

Can anyone help me, I am a 71 year old who uses her
computer for simple things. However, I do like to print
things out once in a while and am lost not that my
printer no longer works.

You need to COMPLETELY uninstall and then reinstall your printer.....

The latest drivers are at the Epson website...

The Status Monitor package will show you ink levels... and should be
downloaded and installed AFTER the printer has been successfully installed.
Remember, install software BEFORE connecting printer.
