Hello,
I've got an EPSON D92 printer. Anyone has had any problems with the
printer not detecting correctly cartridges ink levels?
Mine reports that cyan and yellow cartridges are empty when in fact they are
full. This happened after a "communication error" and restarting the
printer. Any idea?

Thanks,
Pedro

I've tried with no success. The orange printer led remains on as indicating
a problem with ink. It seems the problem is related to printer hardware more
than a software problem.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16828103075 the first
review ssays Epson knows this is a probem.

A search on Epson Stylus CX5000 ink problem gives information that a lot of
Epsons have this problem.
http://www.inksupply.com/epson_inkjet_cartridge_chip_resetter.cfm is a
resetter.

Epson and others sell cheap printers becasye the real money is in the ink.
Those little cartridges have a sponge in them that allows them to hold less
ink.

Canon used to be good and Dell seems to actually have lareger refills. My
All-in-one would have been a good deal even if it had not been free.
