Hi,

I have a XP client that connects to the Win2kTS box via the TSAC. Their
local XP connection continually changes the connection to their local
printer (the one attached to the XP box). Why would this printer and the XP
client be doing this. I have multiple other printers and connections at
this client site but this is the only one giving me a headache.

Thanks!

What exactly is the problem? Do they NOT want the default printer to be their local printer? If yes. this can be change in the user's account by unchecking "Default to main client printer"

Still unsure what you're asking, but most printing FAQ are here

The exact problem is that when a certian user logs in his default printer
port is changed virtually every reboot or re-login. Obviously, the user
would not like to have to go into the printer properties and reselect the
'Port' each time after it is reset to some other non-existent port. The
port should be their local TS???machine name yet it jumps around.

Thanks for the reply.

TS???machine name should be transparent for the user - the TS??? port is for
the system. User should install its own printer to the local port like LPT
or COM ....

When the user start the session this LPT, COM ... local port is temporary
mapped to the TS port that is reusable for other users when first users logs
off.
