Printer issues with Xp

I have changed over to Xp but now cannot print. When I do
try and print, my computer 'locks' up and I have to
reboot the system everytime, after that it's ok. I don't
get any error messages, the system just freezes. It's
becoming a pain, any thoughts?

I had the same problem. It turned out to be a hardware

incompatibility between the pc's two USB ports. I changed
the two ports to four and it cured the problem. Try
switching the cable to an other port or get some new ports
if you only have two. I didn't have a problem with a
parallel port before "updating to USB"
