printer isnt connected

hi i dont know if this is the right place for this but my printer wont work i got an error message saying it wasnt connected when i went to print, then when i thought i had it working i went to print it said it was but not one single piece of paper even moved i have tried reinstalling it and also using the install new devise manager but it said it was installed and working fine. we only have two usb ports but we have about five or six things that use them would this make a difference, can i try anything else? it an epson syylus c44ux.
 
Which port are you plugged into currently?

Are you currently plugged into the serial port with the printer or usb port?


If serial port you should choose LPT1 when installing your printer. If usb you need to select DOT port (assuming usb is recognized). Check this first.
