Printer IP Address Problem

I have a LaserJet printer using an Intel Netport Express print server. It
was originally located at another office with a different subnet. Now that I
have it I plug it into my subnet and can not see it using the Netport
manager software or the HP Jetdirect software to change the network
configuration. Is there a way for me to change the IP Address on this print
server so it is on my network or even reset it to the factory default?
It is using a manual address not DHCP.
Thanks for any help.

You might be able to communicate with the Netport Express by creating a
"route" using the route add command if you know what IP address it is
manually configured for. If you don't know that, you may be able to reset
it to the factory default - check the manual.

I'm not familiar with the NetPort Expres specificall, but these kinds of
devices usually have either a Telnet or web server (or both) built in.

See if the info at
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...askId=135&prodSeriesId=27905&prodTypeId=18972
helps; there are a couple of examples of using the route add command there.

You might be able to communicate using NetBEUI (doesn't come with Windows
XP, but is available in Windows 2000). See
ftp://download.intel.com/support/netport/vintage/352685.pdf.
