I have been trying to install a new printer for hours.

I follow the instructions, which state to plug the printer into the US
port, turn on the printer, cancel any windows pop-up which attempt t
install the drivers, insert the CD and start the installation.

When the CD is inserted, the installation begins but then it state
that there is a problem with the connection. I have tried everything
can think of.

Anyone know how to deal with this

Have you tried installing the printer driver without connecting the
printer first.

I had a similar problem with an Epson CX3600 MFP

Also check that it's looking at the right port for the printer. Have seen
it, especially with Lexmark drivers, where it looks for the printer on the
LPT rather than the USB port.

I am having similar problems installing a dell 1110 printer

System says:

Windows cannot print due to problem with the current printer setup

System also says no printer installed.

The software seems to be installed on the Vista system but for some reason
it cannot find the default printer.
