I am fightint a futile battle trying to install a canon C550 printer. I have tried countless methods. I dowmloaded the Xp update from Canonusa, I tried uninstalling and re-installing. I even had it professionally installed, That worked for about 2 weeks, and now my printer disappeared again. I am willing to try anything at this point. Someone with an idea, PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Turn off your virus application before you install.
Uninstall all your Canon printer drivers, a dialog will come up asking about removing
elements, click yes. Turn the printer off, re-boot your computer. Be certain you are
logged on as Administrator/owner. Install the driver. You will be prompted to turn on
the printer.
